Glass on Glass Window Light Mosaic 

Glass on Glass Window Light Mosaics

Create this beautiful straight glass mosaic Window Light. The class 
includes instruction on using the correct tools for cutting, shaping, and 
grinding glass. The straight strips of glass will be arranged and
 then glued down on frame glass within the picture frame. 
You can add glass gems or bits of mirror to complete the look of your design.  

Once the design is glued, you will learn to mix and apply grout to complete
the project. Each Window Light will be finished with a chain and hook hanger 
so you go home with a lovely finished project.

Introduction to Stained Glass  For Beginners

Kick off the holiday season by creating this pretty little Christmas tree from stained glass. This class offers an introduction to the basic steps of stained glass art. You will learn to cut and shape stained glass using a glass grinder, copper foil the edges, and then use a soldering iron to complete your design. Safe use of all tools and equipment is taught with an emphasis on your safety.

And best of all, you go home with this pretty
Christmas tree just in time for the holidays.

"Loosen it up"  Watercolor Class 

Most materials supplied to complete a 9 x 12 painting in the medium ofwatercolor. Students will get instruction in the medium of watercolor and keep it loose.  

The class will consist of basic watercolor principles, wet in wet applications, petal design and how to finish using a "rigger" brush.  Students are encouraged to bring along a hair dryer to speed drying time.  If you have your own brushes including a rigger brush, please bring it with you. This class is for beginners or advanced beginners.

Cost: $70 (most materials supplied) 
Class size is limited to 10.

Hand Sewn Moccasins 
Get ready for winter! Learn to make your own incredibly warm house mocs from start to finish. Learn to cut your mocs from a pattern and fit and stitch them together. You will receive the pattern, ½ Sherling, and 2 glover needles, finger skins and the sinue to sew your mocs. Any other tools needed will be provided by heather. Register and pre-pay by Nov. 15th at Loon Country Arts to allow for special materials to be ordered. Please include your shoe size when you register to insure the correct patterns will be available.

When: Friday, December 6 from 2:00-6:00 pm.
Location: Loon Country Arts Classroom 
Cost: $125 which includes all materials. You can add a muskrat ruff cuff for an additional $20. Cost includes a pizza lunch.
